Sunhi Park
Chicago, IL
Sunhi Park is a Korean-American artist working across painting and ceramics. Born in Seoul and raised in Chicago, her practice examines the quiet tension between the two cultures she inhabits. Her paintings use translucent layers of acrylic and hanji paper on panel, while her ceramic work takes the form of small functional vessels glazed in celadon and white. Park holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA from Northwestern University. She has exhibited at the Chicago Cultural Center, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, and Roots and Culture gallery. She was a 2024 BOLT resident at the Chicago Artists Coalition.
